It has been over a decade since our humble beginning and the “Fire within us” only seems to grow stronger with every passing year. Today as the sole representative of Sikhs and Punjabis in the National University of Singapore, we have more than 4000 members from past and present NUS students.
The Bhangra night that has become our trademark is just one of the many events we organize and as expected, it shall be an event not to be missed. Literary seminars, Cha parties, Gurudwara visits, Yoga classes, debates etc are also some of the events the society organizes to bring about greater awareness of the Punjabi culture, to harbour a sense of belonging amongst the NUS Punjabis. We also aim to promote closer ties with the Singaporean Sikh/Punjabi community outside NUS. We have done this so by taking parts in sports events, charity drives and community service projects. In no way are are these events restricted to Sikhs/Punjabis, regardless of your race ,sex colour, religion, you are invited to come and be a part of our vibrant culture. We will work to cater to all your needs and interests as the sole representative of the NUS Sikhs/Punjabis.
